Today, our Crisis Response Team met to review and discuss our crisis response plan. While we hope these measures will never be needed, we are committed to being prepared should a situation arise.
Our goal is to ensure the safety and well-being of our students, staff, and community by having a plan in place that allows us to respond effectively and with care.

Student Presentation: “It’s Okay to Not Be Okay - A Conversation on Mental Health & Suicide Prevention”
Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s),
As part of Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, we believe it's important to provide students with tools to take
care of their mental health and support one another. Your student is invited to attend a school counseling
presentation titled, “It’s Okay to Not Be Okay – A Conversation on Mental Health & Suicide Prevention.” This
presentation will take place on Wednesday, September 24th during 7th hour in the auditorium. High School
students in grades 9 -12 will be in attendance.
This presentation is designed to be age-appropriate, informative, and supportive, with a focus on:
● Recognizing signs of emotional distress in themselves and others
● Knowing how and when to ask for help
● Learning what resources are available at school and beyond
● Reducing the stigma around mental health conversations
We understand that suicide and mental health are sensitive topics, and we want to assure you that this
presentation has been carefully prepared to promote hope, help-seeking, and compassion, while avoiding
graphic content or anything triggering.
If you would like for your student to opt-out of this presentation, please contact the high school office at
(501) 745-6000 before Wednesday, September 24th.
If you have any questions, concerns, or would like to review the content beforehand, please feel free to contact
Victoria Bartolotta at (501) 745-6000 ext. 1112 or bartolottav@clintonsd.org.
